Refer to the following information for possible causes to diagnose an experience whirlpool that is not turning on or off.
Ensure that the whirlpool is a Kohler whirlpool by locating the model number and serial number located on the motor / pump assembly. Refer to "Identifying Your Bath or Whirlpool Model" for additional information.
No functions on the remote are working.
Replace the batteries.
The remote control will not work without following specific steps to sync the remove control.
To sync the remote control:

Turn the whirlpool on.

Turn off all modes of operation. Wait approximately one minute until the keypad darkens completely.

On the user keypad, press the up arrow, down arrow and the upper left button simultaneously. The bottom LED on the user interface keypad indicator bar will start blinking.

While the LED is blinking, press the upper left button on the user interface keypad located on the whirlpool. A light sequence will appear to cascade up and down the indicator bar on the user interface keypad.

While the indicator bar light sequence is active, press any button on the remote control. The program will download and the user interface keypad will darken. The user interface keypad will now only respond to this whirlpool.

Replace the batteries and reprogram the remote following the steps above.

If replace the batteries and reprogramming the remote does not work, the remote will need to be replaced.

If replacing the remote does not work, replace the sealed 240V control, referring to the whirlpool model number and revision code for the correct replacement.
