Removal of faucet parts, such as handles or aerators, with considerable hard water build up can be difficult.
1.
To remove the mineral deposits, soak a towel in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water.
2.
Then wrap the towel around the bonnet or skirt of the handle.
3.
Let the towel sit for approximately five to ten minutes.
4.
Using a rubber glove, rubber jar opener for grip or a strap wrench, remove the bonnet of the handle by turning it counterclockwise.
A 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water may also be used to remove hard water build up from a faucet. Use a clean cloth or soft sponge with the solution to remove the mineral build up from the faucet.
