Description of Issue: With this issue, you may experience a lower flow of hot and cold water from the faucet than had occurred previously, or a lower flow of hot or cold water.

Causes

New Installation:
The low flow of water could be the result of dirt and debris in the supply lines. This debris build up may be caused by not properly flushing water through the faucet after installation. The action of turning the water supply on and off during a new installation can kick free dirt or debris within the home's water lines.

Existing Faucet:
For faucets that have been installed for months or years, low water flow from the spout could be the result of dirt or debris that has collected in the valve/cartridge which then inhibits the flow of water through the faucet; or, dirt or debris has collected in the spray hose; or dirt and debris has collected over time within the body of the faucet.

Kink in Supply Hoses:
Check to ensure the hot or cold supply hoses are not kinked underneath the sink. A kink in the hose can restrict the amount of water being supplied to the faucet.
 

Solution

New Installation:
Flush out the supply lines. Refer to the installation guide for steps on how to perform this flush. In some cases, dirt or debris may be lodged in the supply lines and flushing water through the faucet may not correct the issue. If there is still not adequate flow after flushing the supply lines, the supply lines may need to be replaced. The part number of the replacement supply lines will vary depending on the faucet model number.

Existing Faucet:
To determine if the valve/cartridge, spray hose, or faucet body needs replacing, perform the following troubleshooting steps:

For faucets with a pull-out or pull-down sprayhead:

1.
With the water turned off at the faucet handle, remove the sprayhead from the sprayhead hose. Hold on to the hose so it doesn't fall back into the faucet.

2.
Point the sprayhead hose into the sink and turn on the water.

3.
Good water flow from the hose with the sprayhead removed indicates that dirt and debris have collected in the sprayhead.

4.
Soak the sprayhead in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water to help dissolve the dirt and debris build-up.

5.
After soaking for a period of time, re-install the sprayhead to the hose.

6.
If the faucet still has low flow, disconnect the pull-out spray hose from the mixed supply hose. This is the point below the counter where the pull-out hose threads or snaps together wither another hose or copper line. With the hose removed, turn on the water and direct the water into a bucket. This action will flush any sediment or debris from the supply lines.

7.
Low or poor water flow from the hose with the sprayhead removed indicates that dirt and debris have collected in the valve/cartridge.

8.
Replace the valve/cartridge. The part number of the replacement valve/cartridge will vary depending on the faucet model number.
