Wood toilet seats, except Q2 wood styles and the Triko line, utilize a plastic style bolt to connect the toilet seat to the bowl. The plastic bolt has a 3/8-16" UNC thread pattern.

Some Kohler one-piece toilets utilize an anchor to receive the toilet seat bolt because of the toilet design. The anchor can receive a 1/4-20" UNC bolt thread pattern.

Because of the different sizes, to install a wood toilet seat to a toilet that utilizes anchors, simply purchase hardware kit 1104015. The hardware kit comes with the appropriate size bolts to connect a wood toilet seat to an anchor toilet. The washers and nuts from the hardware kit may be discarded as they are not necessary for an toilet that utilizes anchors.
