8mm Hex Wrench
1.
Remove the temperature handle assembly and trim faceplate with the Kohler logo.
2.
Insert the 8mm hex wrench into the center of the Stop Body/Check Valve assembly and turn the assembly clockwise until it stops rotating.
Note: During the clockwise rotation, the Stop Body/Check Valve assembly must turn together. If the Stop Body and Check Valve do not turn together, turn the hex wrench clockwise until the Check Valve is tight in the Stop Body.
Note: Do not remove the Check Valve from the Stop Body as doing so will cause water to come out of the valve because they do not stop the water from flowing.
3.
The Supply Stop is open when the thread of the Supply Stop protrudes above the Retention Nut and can no longer rotate clockwise. Water will flow to the outlets.
Example of Open Supply Stop
4.
Repeat Steps 1 & 2 for the other Stop Body.
1.
Turn the water off at the shut off valve.
2.
Remove the temperature handle assembly and trim faceplate with the Kohler logo.
3.
Insert the 8mm hex wrench into the center of the Stop Body/Check Valve assembly and turn the assembly counterclockwise until it stops rotating.
Note: During the counterclockwise rotation, the Stop Body/Check Valve assembly must turn together. If the Stop Body and Check Valve do not turn together, turn the hex wrench clockwise until the Check Valve is tight in the Stop Body.
Note: Do not remove the Check Valve from the Stop Body as doing so will cause water to come out of the valve because they do not stop the water from flowing.
4.
The Supply Stop is closed when the Supply Stop thread is recessed below the top of the Retention Nut and can no longer rotate counterclockwise. Water will not flow to the outlets.
Example of Open Supply Stop
