Note: Proper installation of the Anthem Mechanical Valve requires the hot water supply line comes into the top inlet port and the cold water supply line comes into the bottom inlet port. The proper orientation of the valve is indicated by a red QC sticker.
The Stops are pre-installed into the valve and are marked with H or C on Stop face.

8mm Hex Wrench

1.
Turn the water off to the entire building or at the shut off Valve.
2.
Remove Thermostatic Trim.
3.
Use a 4mm hex wrench to partially unthread the screws that hold the Retention Nuts.
4.
Insert the 8mm hex wrench into the center of the Stop Body/Check Valve assembly and turn the assembly counterclockwise until the assembly begins to push up on the Retention Nut. As needed, unthread the Retention Nut screws a little at a time and continue to turn counterclockwise. Doing so makes it easier to remove the Retention Nut from the Supply Stop Body assembly in Step 7
Note: During the unthreading process, the Stop Body/Check Valve assembly must turn together. If the Stop Body and Check Valve do not turn together, turn the assembly clockwise until it is tight in the Stop Body and then continue to rotate together counterclockwise.
5.
Fully remove the three Retention Nut screws.
6.
Use needle nose pliers to grip the Retention Nut and pull out the Stop Body Assembly. Be careful not to grip and damage any threads.
7.
Unthread the Retention Nut from Stop Body. (Retention Nut is reverse threaded)
8.
Repeat Steps 1-7 to remove the other Stop Body assembly.
9.
Reinsert the Stop Body assembly into the opposite cavity:
Starting with the top Stop Body, push it fully into the cavity until it clicks into place.
Place the Retention Nut on the Stop Body. NOTE: The Retention Nuts cannot be swapped into the top or bottom cavity; they must remain in their original orientation.
Use the 8 mm hex wrench to turn the Stop Body clockwise until it stops rotating.
TIP: Hold the Retention Nut while rotating the Stop Body to keep it in place. Back off the rotation as needed to align the Retention Nut screw with the screw hole.
Partially thread the top Retention Nut screw using the 4 mm hex wrench.
The Stop is open when the thread of the Stop Body protrudes from the Retention Nut.
10.
Repeat Step 9 to reinsert the bottom Stop Body. Then reinstall the rest of the Retention Nut screws.
11.
Evenly tighten the three Retention Nut screws to ensure they are flush with the Retention Nut.
12.
Re-install the temperature handle assembly and trim faceplate and turn on an outlet to test the water flow. Use temperature knob to confirm proper hot and cold operation.
