Valves (Shower & Bath)

To remove the handle for the single-control Alterna bath and shower faucet, refer to the following directions.

1.
Hold on to the handle while turning the handle base counterclockwise by hand or with a strap wrench, taking care to protect the finish.

2.
Remove the two screws holding the escutcheon plate with a Philips screwdriver. Set all parts aside for reuse.

3.
Repairs can now be made to the shower valve.
Reassemble handle parts in reverse order.

4.
Remove any mineral deposits with a 50/50 white vinegar and warm water solution.
